The Ounce of Prevention tool kit includes simple
nutrition and activity messages to help prevent obesity through the first 12 well
child visits.
Addressing the growing epidemic of obesity is top priority for many healthcare providers.
Physicians who regularly monitor growth and provide anticipatory guidance related
to parenting, eating, and physical activity can perform an important intervention
in a child’s life.
This informational kit provides parent handouts, physician charts and posters for
help in preventing obesity through the first twelve well child visits. The three
areas are geared towards the 12 Well-Child Visits, Parent Guidelines and Tools for
the Doctor's Offce. Click on the desired links to learn more! The handouts/tools
